Today, based on cosmological discoveries, we know that the universe is a collection of dark and light matter, which make up a tiny fraction of the entire universe. The existence of dark and light matter in the Universe is crucial since the amount and properties of these substances define the Universe’s general characteristics, evolution, the creation of galaxies, stars, planets, a planet like Earth, and consequently humans. Throughout the Quran, the terms ‘Layl’ and ‘Nihar’ have been repeated. Although many of these verses describe the phenomenon of night and day, others describe features of ‘Layl’ and ‘Nihar’ that do not correspond with night and day. This documentary examines these verses and shows how they describe the dark and light matter of the universe and their properties.
